It was indeed the right time for Bo and Awesome to go away from this region. Bo would not forget this ancient banshee though; she was the most wicked in the north.

One day, Bo 100% would return, and she and her steed agreed that other adventures awaited them to the south now. So, they were on route in that direction.

There were many islands on the King’s Sea out there and this journey would be a good destination to begin with.

It was on their first night of traveling that they stopped to get some rest, making camp under a rock outcropping with a ledge over it. It made a good place to build a fire and stay somewhat warm. The sky was very calm this night, but horse and rider just sat by the fire, saying nothing.

Bo finally broke the silence, just saying out of the blue her current thought. “Here I am, out on the road seeking evil, yet still trying to find myself. I suppose that’s how it works, right?”

Awesome said nothing, just standing there with his big eyes half closed.

“Don’t most people learn on the fly? At least act like they know what they’re doing?”

She looked at her horse and again he said nothing.

“I feel like I’m figuring out my own life’s path, my spirituality, about the earth and all these things. People may see me as a hero, but in all honesty, well, I feel like I should be out on some island of misfit toys. I don’t actually fit in this world at all.”

Awesome grunted.

“Say something, will you,” Bo said, giving him a serious look.

He then spoke. “You feel the way you feel. Nothing can change that but time and life’s lessons, as you say. And if you want to go to some mist haven, I’m sure I’ll fit right in with you.”

The two of them had a good laugh at his thought.

Again, there was a silence until later she asked him if he knew more about those banshees that roamed the realm. There were written words about there being four of the most dreadful of their kind.

The horse knew very little, but as a slave to Oshie, who was called Sorella as well, he had some knowledge on the subject.

“There are four. I do know that much. They are the banshee of the west, east, south, and, as we have already encountered, the north.”

Bo put another log on the fire, listening to Awesome tell her this. She then turned to her trusty friend and announced, “Well, it goes without saying, though I’ll say it anyway. It looks like we have our work cut out for us.”
